Creating a Business/Data Management Agency
Meet our founder, Becky Warkentin
Growing up in Saskatchewan, I spent much of my youth working on the family farm and at my father’s business. With a Degree in Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and a Professional Management Certificate from the University of Calgary, my career has taken her through multiple industries—agriculture, construction, finance and more. At the age of 28, I started a wind turbine business and had my first experience as an entrepreneur.
I’ve always loved numbers and have had a passion for data that some people view as weird. Creating data forms at temporary jobs, collecting large amounts of data and analyzing it at a concrete company, completing in-depth analysis to find decision specific information for a variety of clients, I can’t help but play in the data world even when it’s not required.
My business expertise from running departments, creating business strategy, and working in almost every area of a business from the field to the office to management, I have a broad understanding of how businesses run, what management needs and what will be useful to the average employee. I use this oversight in our business management and especially in our data management as a full scope understanding can provide so much more value for the data and software used.
I want things to work for people and enjoy creating a scenario where information can flow smoothly.
I started Amplify with two passions at its core, to seeking out competent, ambitious women that have the skills to support businesses with their needs, so they can focus on the things they are good at. I fills me with pride that I have been able to fulfil this goal and provide ongoing support to our clients.
